out my window - day 16

It's that time of year again. The slow moving farm vehicles are driving down the country lanes. I don't know if I'll ever get used sharing the two lane, no lines, no shoulder road with them! Every time I pass one I wonder if we're both far enough over.

The green John Deere tractors are crawling in the fields now. The hawks are out en masse. I have new research to do. Are hawks seasonal birds? I didn't see any all winter and in this last week I am seeing more and more each day. They are beautiful birds. Two were dancing over the far end of the field this afternoon in graceful spirals.

I've also been told by an experienced gardener that this is the time to clear out my flower beds and rototill my garden. I will see what my dad and husband are doing this Sat!
