There is a severe wind warning for my area. There is also a snow warning. In April. As I was driving home, I turned off the radio and focused all my attention on the road, both hands on the steering wheel since the wind was trying to blow my car out of its lane. When I began this post, the snow had begun sticking to all the lowlands and the dirt patches and trails. I could again clearly see the gopher and deer trails through my land. However, now the ground is completely covered in white.

I took this series of photos every 15 minutes for the last hour (okay, I missed 7.30, but I was putting my baby to bed!). 1 hour and 15 minutes ago I could see beyond the treeline and noticed the horse fence for the first time! Now I can barely see the trees and the ground is covered with snow. Let's hope this moisture permeates the ground as we really need our water levels to rise and this drought to end.
