Hey guys!!!
Just finished four days of hiking and tenting in Torres del Paine, Chile. That includes a 3.5 hr hike before breakfast and then a 5 hr hike on a glacier!!!! which was amazing. Terrifying at first then exhilerating. Have a ton of photos to upload for you when I get home. More hiking tomorrow and then we´ll be in the southern most town in the world! Ushuaia. The weather has changed for us; we´ve had 4 solid days of sun instead of rain and cold and clouds. The Patagonian wind is not an exageration; it is never ending!!! I was even dreaming of people and bears (there are no bears here, just puma) trying to get into my tent the first night but it was the wind. Second night put in ear plugs and slep thru it. Beautiful mountains and stunning glaciers with glacial blue lakes, but some are a green colour, unlike Canadian turquoise glacial lakes. Still beautiful. Pure water when you drink out of it! yesterday I sat and even laid on a large boulder, in the sun, right next to a river while Val hike higher to the viewpoints. That was awesome for me, and for him, each in our own separate ways ;) Oh, this is funny: Saw what we thought were oddly placed haybales in a field with horses, but when we got closer we realized that they were really really woolly sheep!!! Hilarious. Take care all!
